Baysora Welcomes Tim Curran and Asa Laws to the Team

Baysora is proud to announce that Tim Curran has joined as VP of Value Creation and Asa Laws has joined as Director of Technology & AI. Together, these two roles deepen the operational and technical support Baysora provides to its partner firms.

Tim Curran — VP of Value Creation

Tim’s career has been built inside private equity-backed services businesses, leading operations, building teams, and driving growth alongside founders and operators who have put years into what they’ve built. Most recently, he served as President of Whipple Service Champions and Utah Market Area President at Apex Service Partners, overseeing operations across multiple locations. He holds an MBA from Kellogg and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Notre Dame.

At Baysora, Tim works directly with firm leaders to identify where growth is most achievable and build a clear path to get there. For firm owners, that means a dedicated partner who understands how to scale an operation without disrupting what already works.

“I’ve spent my career helping strong businesses reach the next level. What drew me to Baysora is the quality of the firms we work with and the genuine commitment to supporting them on their own terms. I’m here to be a resource, not a layer of management.”

Asa Laws — Director of Technology & AI

Asa has spent seven years building systems that make organizations faster and less reliant on manual work. He comes to Baysora from Distro, where he led product and engineering, and from Mercato Partners, a growth equity firm, where he built AI-driven data infrastructure and CRM systems. Earlier in his career he drove technology adoption and built data pipelines at NOW CFO, a nationwide accounting consulting firm. He studied at Brigham Young University, where he spent five years teaching as an undergrad and graduate student — an experience that shapes how he approaches training and getting people comfortable with new tools.

At Baysora, Asa identifies the highest-ROI technology improvements across the portfolio and builds the workflows and automations that create real capacity for firm teams. For firm owners, that means access to a technical resource most boutique firms couldn’t justify hiring on their own, focused entirely on making their day-to-day operations more efficient.

“Accounting firms run on expertise and relationships. The opportunity I see is giving those teams back the time and headspace to focus on exactly that, by leveraging emergent technologies and removing the friction that slows them down. That’s the work I’m here to do.”

Both Tim and Asa reflect a core commitment at Baysora: every role on the team was built around a challenge firm owners are already navigating. Please join us in welcoming them.
